Deb Goodall is my attorney and has been for a couple years. Before meeting her I got myself into trouble with the nursing board and voluntarily surrendered my license after 25 years of being a nurse. She informed me of the things I needed to accomplish to be able to apply for reinstatement. After completion of all the documents required by the board and the extra documents Deb suggested, we went for my appointment with the Texas Board of Nursing. Deborah met me in Austin. We met with the board, she did most of the talking and represented me very well. She had also coached me on what they will be asking of me and what to expect. I was nervous but very prepared. As nurses, we are held to a higher standard. So substance abuse and dependence come to us at a severely compounded degree of guilt and shame.
