Texas Nursing Lawyers Testimonials

Below are some Texas Nursing Lawyers testimonials. They are honored to have represented so many nurses in the State of Texas, with nursing license issues. Buck and Deborah would like to share a few of these testimonials they have received so you know what their clients are saying about their nursing license defense.

Good afternoon, Buck!

I know it has been a while since our last correspondence, but I wanted to ensure we expressed our gratitude to you. On behalf of my mother, we just wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the hard work you did for her case. It was a unique and challenging one as you mentioned to us when we first started working with you, but we were able to submit everything on time back in August. You were patient and efficient throughout the process, and you did an excellent job of communicating with us as well. Thank you for fighting for her. This has now been a weight lifted off her shoulders. Hopefully we shouldn’t have to need you again in the future, but thank you so much for all that you do! We wish you the best and hope you have a wonderful holiday season. 🙂

I had a complicated case with multiple charges 2 DWI, 2 months apart, 2 different counties including a nursing license on the line. Buck was fair, knowledgeable, available, and very thorough. Buck and Deborah also helped me obtain my nursing license. Buck guided through this process and obtained what I believe to be the best results given my current situation. I definitely recommend Buck Johnson to anyone that is in need of great counsel.

"If you receive a letter of an allegation from the Texas BON, please don't try to clear it on your own. I highly recommend you call Deborah Goodall first!"

As an RN for 34 years we all know that getting a letter from the BON is our most dreaded moment. I recently had that experience. What a nightmare! I received a referral from another nurse to Deborah Goodall – Attorney. We met and I could tell her passion for helping nurses in these situations was sincere and genuine. She has also worked with the investigators at the Board of Nursing for many years and is very knowledgeable about what they expect and need to clear an allegation. Deborah Goodall closed my case with the BON without any infractions or orders on my license. If you receive a letter of an allegation from the Texas BON, please don’t try to clear it on your own. I highly recommend you call Deborah Goodall first!

I had been out of the nursing profession for a few years due to my addiction. When I got clean and sober and had my legal troubles cleaned up, I was finally able to pursue re-obtaining my license. I didn’t know where to turn or what steps I needed to take, and the process seemed too daunting to bother with. Fortunately, I was introduced to Mrs. Goodall. After a lengthy conversation, I could tell she was competent and genuinely concerned about my situation. She immediately put my anxiety and feelings of hopelessness at ease. I hired her on the spot. She walked me through the long reinstatement process with confidence that continually gave me hope and reassurance. She was readily available when I needed help and questions answered. Long story short, I got my nursing license back. I don’t think I would have been able to do it without her. She was the best investment I ever made.

"It was nice that the board members were on a first name basis with Deb and that she was comfortable with them and they were with her. They granted me my license back!"

Deb Goodall is my attorney and has been for a couple years. Before meeting her I got myself into trouble with the nursing board and voluntarily surrendered my license after 25 years of being a nurse. She informed me of the things I needed to accomplish to be able to apply for reinstatement. After completion of all the documents required by the board and the extra documents Deb suggested, we went for my appointment with the Texas Board of Nursing. Deborah met me in Austin. We met with the board, she did most of the talking and represented me very well. She had also coached me on what they will be asking of me and what to expect. I was nervous but very prepared. It was nice that the board members were on a first name basis with Deb and that she was comfortable with them and they were with her. They granted me my license back! Since then she has been available for questions that arise and even helped me get a section of the board order modified. I have done some things in the past that I am embarrassed and ashamed of. Deb has never shown any judgment. She has been understanding and comforting through this entire process. I appreciate all the time and effort she has spent on me and I will always be grateful for the reinstatement of my license.

As nurses, we are held to a higher standard. So substance abuse and dependence come to us at a severely compounded degree of guilt and shame. Drug or alcohol use also comes with legal consequences, and professional ones. There are many nurses who have given up their calling as a result. The legal system is terrifying, and owning your actions to the BON can be an overwhelming experience. We are lucky to live in Texas. TPAPN exists and has given hundreds of nurses the chance to reclaim their lives and careers. Deborah Goodall has been an invaluable ally to me, and to a large number of other nurses in the TPAPN program, or under supervision of the Board. I have recommended her wholeheartedly for years to other nurses. She is experienced with the TxBON rules and requirements, and will represent you at meetings with the Board, and is a Criminal defense attorney as well. There is help out here – please don’t give up on yourself because you think you’re alone.

"Deborah is a remarkable attorney and person!! You want her in your corner!!"

I will be forever grateful to Deborah for all of her assistance with the BON! She came highly recommended to me–by more than one person. I completely understand why! Every interaction with her and her staff was professional, friendly & prompt. Of course I had several questions and concerns during this frightening experience! Her vast knowledge with dealing with the complicated and frustrating BON really put me at ease. I’ve had a few questions following the completion of my case involving BON issues, when I reached out to her, she was able to speak to me the same day! Deborah is a remarkable attorney and person!! You want her in your corner!!
